App Formuler Remote: New Functions

New mouse functions that improve the user experience in mobile apps were recently added to the Formuler Remote app.

The Android TV environment makes it difficult to run apps that are designed exclusively for mobile devices, and many apps have not yet been optimised for the Android TV OS.

Using the D-pad or other designated keys, you can scroll to 4 directions in mobile apps with the new mouse functionality. Both the GTV-BT1 and GTV-IR1 remote controls come with these functions.

Please install the Formular Remote app by following the installation instructions below. For more information about the subsequent implementations, click the image above to view the tutorial video.

How to install Formuler Remote app :

For Z10/Z8-series (including Alpha, Neo, and CC):

1. Launch Market.
2. Update/Install Formuler Remote v1.2.6
3. If you're using the BT1 remote, go forward to step "A" below.

To GTV:

1. Launch the Google Play Store.
2. Install or update the Formuler Remote app by searching.
3. If you're using the BT1 remote, go forward to step "A" below.

Install the BT1 firmware 0.5.3d after updating the Formula Remote app:

1. Launch the Formula Remote app.

1. On the RCU selection screen, select GTV-BT1.

1. At the menu, choose RCU Update App from the bottom.

1. Update the BT1's firmware to version 0.5.3d

Once installed, software cannot be rolled back.

Change Record

NEW: Use IR1 and BT1 remotes to navigate apps using the D-Pad in mouse cursor mode. Firmware 0.5.3d or later is necessary for the BT1 device.

IMP: Adjust the Bluetooth device's volume when Setup Volume Control is set to TV.
